Many people are challenged in their work and find joy and happiness in what they do, or are sick and tired of what they do. So many find natural pleasure in what they do, but my not see their job as His Kingdoms work. Others will draw their breath and draw their salary. Yes, just, "Working till the weekend," as many have told me.

They wake up in the morning, clean up, drink their coffee, fight the traffic, and do the same old thing day after day. Then they come home at night, sit down and watch TV, maybe have a discussion with their spouse, try to find ways to spend their time, and suddenly nothing exciting, meaningful, or thrilling; it just humdrum, so meaningless.

Why is it that many believers perspective is they say they love and want to serve God, but they have the idea that the only time they can serve God is at the church, or when they're not working. They want to get off work so they can serve God. They give their prime time to the employer and then they give the leftovers to God. They may or may not give their weekends to God. They kind of have a halftime approach. It's not even really halftime, because they give most of their prime hours, and the best hours, to the boss. They're trying to serve two masters and, of course, Jesus said,

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. - Matthew 6:24

I personally believe there are many believers who are workers and business owners who are guilty of doing what I call "Halftime" living.

You may see yourself as a very ordinary person. You may think there's nothing exciting about you, but what you don't realize is that God loves ordinary people. God must like them, since He made so many of us. Ordinary people are the handiwork of God.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. - 1 Corinthians 1:26

God takes ordinary people and He gives them extraordinary power. God infuses us with His Holy Spirit, so we're no longer ordinary, because, when we get saved, we become extraordinary. When God takes an ordinary person and gives him extraordinary power, He puts that ordinary person in an ordinary place with extraordinary power, and does extraordinary things through an ordinary person.

That Is Ministry Marketplace Impact: If you'll learn this and get this into your heart, it's going to transform your life, your business, and your employees. Why do we neatly divide life up into the secular and the sacred. Many will say to me, "You know Bro. Roger, I would really like to do ministry full time for God."

I wonder what people think ministry is, when they say, "I mean, if I could do what I would really like to do? Well, I'd just like to get out of this job and serve God. I'd just like to serve God full-time."

Have you ever thought that? If I could just quit what I'm doing, it'd be so wonderful if I could just get out of what I'm doing and serve God full-time. LISTEN: If you are a Christian living in the Spirit, you are serving God full-time. I don't care where you work, if your part-time, full-time or the owner, it is an honorable occupation. You are serving God full-time.
